Electrocorundum white

Electrocorundum represents artificially synthesized synthetic corundum (88 — 99% of Al2O3). Receive melting in electric furnaces of bauxite with a reducer (iron sawdust). It is applied as abrasive, fire-resistant material, to production of casting molds and cores, constructive elements of radio tubes, abrasive circles etc. In what dependence Elektrokorund: as a result of alloyage of bauxites with shavings of sulphurous iron and the subsequent allocation of monocrystals of corundum. Or normal electrocorundum: as a result of alloyage of bauxites with pig-iron shavings and the subsequent allocation of monocrystals of corundum.
